Amidst rumors of a troubled release of Imagenation Abu Dhabi's new horror movie 'Djinn' directed by Tobe Hooper (which have now been debunked), we now have a first trailer to the movie that doesn't look like an official release but a leaked early cut. Either way, despite a pretty spooky first twenty seconds, it just looks bland and generic for the most part and feels more like a TV movie than a studio horror film. Even the scares are pretty tame. I'll still be holding hope for a better film but this clearly isn't a good start.DJINN tells the nightmarish story of a young Emirati couple who return home from the U.S. and discover that their new apartment in a luxury high-rise built on the site of an abandoned fishing village is also home to the malevolent beings known as Djinn.
