Tom Cruise Rocks It Out In ‘Rock Of Ages’ Trailer
Teams up with Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta Jones and Russel Brand in 80′s musical.
After a very successful outing with the latest ‘Mission Impossible’ movie in cinemas now, looks like Tom Cruise isn’t nearly done and next in line is a 80′s musical that doesn’t look too interesting but he seems to be the high point of the film. Here’s the trailer for ‘Rock of Ages’.
“Rock of Ages” tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock ‘n’ roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and more.
While the film looks muddled for now even though the 80′s nostalgia is appealing, Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand look appropriately zany for the time period and are bound to be the high points of the movie. But what the trailer modestly hides is the presence of Tom Cruise until the very end, who plays Jaxx. It’s a rocking character that allows the actor to jolt the stage shirtless. And that’s one primary reason to see the film in my opinion. Not see him shirtless, I mean. I’ve put myself in a corner here.
