“Men In Black 3′ Trailer More Sci-Fi Alien Goodness
Will Smith returns after three years of nothing.
His last movies were ‘Hancock’ and ‘Seven Pounds’ way back in 2008, but Will Smith is returning to cinemas next year with a new installment of his iconic ‘Men in Black’ franchise. And this first trailer proves that the team has still got it and the film reveals a fun but unoriginal time travel idea this time around.
In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.
The best thing about this trailer is how Will Smith looks exactly the same as the character from the previous movies which is a joy to see. While the second movie was pretty disappointing, this one looks back to the hijinks of the first one and it’s great to see Tommy Lee Jones back in character as well. However, looks like he’s not going to have a big role in the film as the plot involves J travelling back to 1960′s and meet the Young K which is played by Josh Brolin. That’s a rip from ‘Back to the Future’ in a very liberal fashion, but I guess the sci-fi alien element makes it more of a homage. Either way, looking forward to a successful third film.
