‘The Three Stooges’ Trailer The Most Awful Thing You’ll See This Week
The Farrelly Brothers give us a god-awful looking modern update of the classic story.
Whoever asked for a ‘Three Stooges’ modernized remake? The Farrelly Brothers never cared to find an answer to that question and made on anyway. And here’s the trailer to the film which looks all sorts of bad.
Left on a nun’s doorstep, Larry, Curly and Moe grow up finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking and woo-woo-wooing their way to uncharted levels of knuckleheaded misadventure. Out to save their childhood home, only The Three Stooges could become embroiled in an oddball murder plot…while also stumbling into starring in a phenomenally successful TV reality show.
I see that the characters look faithful to the originals but the humor here just does not work. There’s way too much bad slapstick that kills it and gets old in the very first second. I wonder what they were thinking when shooting this since it’s almost like a parody of itself. The crotch hit at the end was the only chuckle-worthy bit but that’s only because the viewer is laugh-starved for the rest of it. And the Snooki bit was the last nail in the coffin.
