‘The Cabin In The Woods’ Teaser Poster Is Rubicks Cube Of Madness
Joss Whedon’s horror film finally closer to release.
Only director Joss Whedon would have count of how many years it has been since his horror film ‘Cabin in the Woods’ has been sitting on a shelf first by MGM and now by Lionsgate. Only now, Lionsgate is set to release the film after all and gave it a whole new twisted poster that also reminds you of other Lionsgate posters.
Here’s the vague but effective plot logline:
Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again. From fan favorites Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard comes THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, a mind blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.
I’m sold. The poster is pretty effective in the cube imagery with the house and hints to some of the twisted stuff that we will be treated with. But then again, the grungy palette is classic Lionsgate as they’ve used this same thing with all the ‘Saw’ posters and recently with ‘The Last Exorcism’ as well. Cliche, but it works so well.
The movie is now set to open April 13th, 2012. Let’s see if it meets the hype.
