Invisible Aliens Attack Russia In ‘The Darkest Hour’ Trailer
Another alien invasion movie? No, it’s a great looking ‘invisible’ alien invasion movie.
Alien invasion movies have been done to death, especially in this year itself where we had at least six of them already. Do we still need another one? As long as there’s a different hook to it, I’m always in for more alien action. And with ‘The Darkest Hour’, there’s a very unique hook to it – the aliens cannot be seen. The Darkest Hour is the story of five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack.
The movie actually looks pretty promising from the trailer itself. The Moscow setting ensures that we are in for some great new visuals instead of the same old America again and again. The biggest highlight though is the alien concept. Basically, the aliens here cannot be seen and have lethal wave energy that can zap and vanish human beings in seconds. How do you battle something that cannot be seen? It’s a great concept and I love the visual going on here. I just hope this is more like ‘Cloverfield’ and less like the abomination ‘Skyline’.
