‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Teaser Trailer Hits The Web
The finale to Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman trilogy finally gets a tease.
There it is – after a long wait and countless bootleg fakes, the official trailer to ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ has been released on the internet by Warner Brothers and everyone’s talking.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar® winner Christian Bale (“The Fighter”) again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar® winner Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”) plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”) reprises the role of Lucius Fox.
Frankly, I’ll be the first to admit that the teaser could have been better. There’s an overuse of stock footage from the previous movies as well as needless title sequences here that could have been replaced with something better. At the same time, what new we ‘do’ get is epic beyond belief. The tease of Bane is done brilliantly and the final shot of Batman actually backing away from him hints to a lot of danger ahead. We also find out that Bruce Banner has given up on the Batsuit but Gordon pushes him to put it on in the face of danger. There’s also some eerie chanting that links it all the way back to the ‘League of Assassins’ from the first film. All in all, a nerdgasm that still had potential to be even more so.
