Jason Statham, Robert DeNiro & Clive Owen Kick Ass In ‘Killer Elite’ Trailer

I think our generation has truly found the quintessential action hero in the form of Jason Statham. The guy has done dozens of movies that look exactly the same, but none of us have ever gotten tired of it and they are always entertaining to watch. The upcoming ‘Killer Elite’ pits him alongside with legend actor Robert DeNiro in action mode and Clive Owen as a baddie. We now have a trailer.

Based on a true story, Killer Elite races across the globe from Australia to Paris, London and the Middle East in the action-packed account of an ex-special ops agent (Jason Statham) who is lured out of retirement to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro). To make the rescue, he must complete a near-impossible mission of killing three tough-as-nails assassins with a cunning leader (Clive Owen).

It’s great to see Clive Owen doing the bad guy and rocking a moustache, and it’s refreshing to see Robert Deniro in a role that doesn’t have him doing faces for the most part. As for Jason Statham, his action quotient here looks to beat all his previous movies and carries a particular dark tone this time around which makes it all the more interesting. Once again, I’m stoked for a no holds barred action movie hitting cinemas.
