First Look: Sacha Baron Cohen In ‘The Dictator’
The ‘Borat’ star is out with his brand new character and here’s the first image.
After successfully proving with ‘Borat’ and ‘Bruno’, Sacha Baron Cohen now stands as one of the funniest and most daring comedians of our time even though his humor might not be everyone’s cup of tea (it’s right up my alley though). So what happens when he’s doing another movie that looks to be a scripted comedy? The result looks just as funny, if this first look image is to be believed.

The movie has him playing two roles – one of a dictator and the other of a shepherd. The dictator is on display here and he looks to be a mix of Saddam, Gaddafi and a hilariously overdone stereotype that perfectly suits Cohen:
[Sacha] Baron Cohen plays a ruthless dictator who heads to the U.S. for a meeting at the United Nations and finds that his number two has replaced him with an unsuspecting sheepherder lookalike. As the dictator wanders the city, he meets the owner of an organic food store… She turns around his dictatorial thinking, and there’s a little romance in it as well.
Larry Charles, who directed Borat and Bruno, is back again to direct and the movie stars Ben Kingsley and Anna Faris as well. I really hope there’s a bit of improv in this one as well but I’m sure he would do a scripted film justice as well.
What do you think of the first look?
