‘TRON Legacy’ Sequel Speeds Ahead As Disney Hires Writer
But Disney isn’t too confident in the project as of yet.
‘TRON Legacy’ may not have been a very good film, but the franchise has a lot of potential to explore if things go right. The movie did moderately good business and Disney was always rumored to be considering a sequel, but this is the first official action that we have seen.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Disney has hired David DiGilio to pen the script of the sequel. His only writing credit is the Paul Walker family movie ‘Eight Below’, but he has sold pitches to Disney and could be a fresh new voice to the series. Or at least we all hope that’s the case. There’s also reports though that Disney isn’t really locking the movie until they see good results from the Tron Uprising TV show that launches summer of 2012. I really hope the first thing that the writer tackles is adding a human element as well as a compelling story to the movie and not bore the audiences with long bland speeches.
Did you like ‘Tron Legacy’ enough to see a sequel?
