Jim Carrey Interested In ‘Bruce Almighty’ & ‘Dumb And Dumber’ Sequels
Says he would like to revisit some older characters.
One of the funniest physical comedians on screen last decade has to be Jim Carrey. Though he’s still got it, age has taken the best of him and he hasn’t seen much box-office success lately. With the release of Mr. Popper’s Penguins next month, that could very well change as he seems to be right where his audience wants him to be. Now, he wants to follow it up with rewarding his audience with two of his most famous characters.
ComingSoon quotes Jim Carrey saying the following:
We’re talking about maybe returning to some old characters that everyone has been asking about …There’s Bruce Almighty and we’re talking about maybe another Dumb and Dumber.
Jim Carrey had previously stated that he would never do sequels after the second “Ace Ventura’ movie, but his stance seems to be changing and it’s a great move to get back into the business. I loved Carrey not only in comedy, but his brilliant dramatic turns in ‘Truman Show’ as well as ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ and hope he can get back to that as well.
