First Look: Tom Hardy As Bane In ‘The Dark Knight Rises’
Could he top Heath Ledger’s Joker? You decide.
‘The Dark Knight’ being one of the best superhero films ever, the bar is extremely high for the finale in Christopher Nolan’s gritty Batman trilogy in the form of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. We’ve seen the casting, the rumors and the hints of the storyline from various sources. And now, the movie is officially shooting. And with that, Warner Bros. has blessed us poor fans with a first look at major villain this time around – Bane played by Tom Hardy. And here you go, guys.
Simply put, the character looks more bad-ass than I had imagined. There’s a real threat to the character and Tom Hardy has really built up himself and transformed his body into an intimidating machine that might just prove as the biggest opponent Batman had to ever face (and considering the character broke Batman’s back in the comics, it might just end with a downer). The image was revealed after a long viral campaign on Twitter and their official website and it’s a genius idea to dole out information. Click the image for a supersized look at the character.
