Matthew McConaughy is set to star in The Dallas Buyer’s Club, a biopic about AIDS victim Ron Woodroof.
The movie will be Directed by Jean-Marc Vallee, Strike Entertainment (Children Of Men) have been rumoured to be on board in producing the movie.
The Biopic follows the story of Ron Woodroof, an electrician who was diagnosed with AIDS in 1986 and given six months to live.
Unwilling to accept a death sentence, Woodroof decides to use alternative drugs to maintain his health. Through his efforts he manages to start up a smuggling business to help deliver said drugs to AIDS patients around America.
The plot sounds interesting, however I am not a fan of Matthew McConaughy (Tiptoes…. ’nuff said). Since it is not yet revealed what role McConaughy is gonna play in the movie there still might be hope for the movie.
The realease date and additional cast are still to be announced.
