Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz have been cast to play Harry Deane and PJ Puznowski in the remake of the 1966 comedy thriller Gambit.
Michael Hoffman will be Directing the remake with the Coen Brothers Screenwriting the film.
The film based 1966 comedic thriller starred Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine. The remake follows Harry Deane a London art curator (Firth) who enlists a Texas Rodeo Queen (Diaz) in a plot to con the richest man in England, into buying a phony Monet painting.
Cameron Diaz will be working alongside Colin Firth who recently received and Oscar for his role in The King’s Speech. Both roles seem suited for the actors and hopefully this would be a remake that would be worth watching.
CBS Films studio will be producing the remake, with a release date still to be announced.
