First Look: Official Image Of Red Skull In ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’
Paramount releases first official image of Hugo Weaving as Red Skull.
Out of the two Marvel movies releasing this summer, I’d have to select ‘Captain America’ over ‘Thor’ mainly because of its setting and overall potential to be something better than even its source material. Though we’ve only seen a very short teaser and a few images for it, I’m still hoping for a great film. What we have here is our first look at the villain Red Skull from the movie played by Hugo Weaving.
It makes me so happy to see that Marvel didn’t wussy out and go for an all CGI look for the villain which could have clearly been the case. Instead, what we see here is excellent makeup that gives a much more believable and scary look at a primary villain. Hugo Weaving is a great choice for the role and the villain looks better than the one in ‘Thor’. But enough bashing that movie already. Both have an equal chance to be good or bad.
