After decades of hit songs and a persona like nobody else, late legend Michael Jackson was immortalized in the concert documentary ‘This Is It’ last year. Similarly, after two fleeting hits and a career shorter than the span of ‘This Is It’s’ release and now, Justin Bieber is somehow getting his own concert documentary. And he’s one-upping Michael Jackson himself by going 3-D. Now, months after the movie was announced, we have a trailer to go with it.
This is nothing but a major (and actually cleverly timed) cash-grab by Paramount and there is no doubt that teenage girls will come in droves to see their biggest popstar lipsync his way through the concerts. There’s all kinds of interviews here that speak about a sixteen year old kid as if he’s achieved something so monumental in his journey of decades. Anything that hypes a movie up, I guess. Top that off with a request to you to ‘B a part of it’ and you already know what you’re getting into.
