The marketing is  now in full swing for the final installment of the ‘Harry Potter’ saga and after excellent trailers, we now have posters to boot. The following character posters don’t look too different from last year’s ‘Half Blooded Prince’ posters, but match the gritty and dark tone that the series has moved towards.

The background has now changed to the city and the marks on Potter’s face is indicative of the gritty tone of the new movie and sells it perfectly. There’s one thing I don’t like, though. The whole ‘HP7′ business takes me out of the experience. I understand that the brand is way too popular for anyone to not get it, but it still sounds like something people call the movie casually and not something that should be used on the poster. That’s like naming the next Narnia movie ‘The New Narnia Movie’.

But other than that, great posters. Two more below.
