Clint Eastwood’s upcoming supernatural drama ‘Hereafter’ is probably his most unique work since it lacks all his staples, but it will nevertheless be great based on the trailer. I’ve read the script and the story doesn’t come together too well at the end, but it’s a captivating experience. But now we have a new poster for the movie, but it lacks any epic scale and is just boring for the most part.

Hereafter tells the story of three people who are touched by death in different ways. George (Matt Damon) is a blue-collar American who has a special connection to the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie (Cecile De France), a French journalist, has a near-death experience that shakes her reality. And when Marcus, a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately needs answers. Each on a path in search of the truth, their lives will intersect, forever changed by what they believe might–or must–exist in the hereafter.
There’s too many blank stares here especially with Matt Damon and the whole color pallete and design reminds me of those direct to video supernatural thrillers. I really wish the epic scale of the trailer would have been integrated here. It’s a Clint Eastwood movie after all. But this may just be a teaser poster and I still await a full poster that does justice to the movie.
Movie releases October 22nd, 2010.
