With the extreme lack of horror movies in UAE screens most of the time, I’m very excited about Grand Cinema’s new venture ‘Terror Tuesday’ that packs a whole lot of value for horror movie lovers.
The idea is this – every Tuesday at 9:00 pm in Grand Cineplex (Wafi City), a horror movie is going to be released which you can watch for just 25 Dhs. And that price includes not just the movie, but Pepsi and popcorn as well. Great value considering how ridiculiously expensive a cinema outing has become.
Sadly, the very first film that will be playing tonight is an utterfly mediocre vampire/werewolf movie ‘Skinwalkers’. But I’m hoping that from the next time around, quality horror movies get a chance to be played. Even older classics like ‘Psycho’, ‘Halloween’ and ‘The Exorcist’ among others would make any horror fan rush to the cinema without thought. Also hope that they expand the cinema to Sharjah was well.
Nevertheless, this is a great offering that cinema goers should definitely keep an eye on.
