After James Cameron’s action comedy ‘True Lies proved to be a success, word on the sequel was always in the news but nothing came out of it. Now we have word that the movie might be getting a follow-up, albeit not as a sequel.
Deadline reports that Fox and Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment are working with Rene Echevarria to adapt the movie into a TV series which will continue the movie. The project is being shopped around to major networks now. At this point, a direct sequel seems very unlikely given the time that has passed so a TV series makes sense.
