Weekly Posters: Katherine Heigl’s ‘Life As We Know It’ Gets A Funny Poster

By Faisal Hashmi on September 4, 2010

The only point I’ll begin to take a Katherine Heigl movie seriously (except ‘Knocked Up’ as it wasn’t her movie) is when she stops acting obnoxious in them. She plays the same obnoxious character in everything she’s in and it’s certainly wearing out audiences. The upcoming ‘Life as we Know it’ is a dramedy, which [...]

The only point I’ll begin to take a Katherine Heigl movie seriously (except ‘Knocked Up’ as it wasn’t her movie) is when she stops acting obnoxious in them. She plays the same obnoxious character in everything she’s in and it’s certainly wearing out audiences. The upcoming ‘Life as we Know it’ is a dramedy, which probably means we can expect less of that but you never know. But hey, at least this new poster is pretty funny.

Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) is an up-and-coming caterer and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) is a promising network sports director. After a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Messer are forced to put their differences aside. Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they’ll have to find some common ground while living under one roof.

Instead of taking the lazy way out as they did with the ‘Killers’ posters with the white background and everything, there’s a clear image here that is being portrayed and looks like a scene from the movie. The image is pretty funny as well, but mostly because of Josh Dunhamel and that little kid over there. The tagline remains as lame as her movies bring, though. Could be a change of Heigl, though.

Movie opens 8th October, 2010.
