Even though this news might make you die a little bit inside, somewhere inside you knew it was eventually coming. On the heels of his recent tween success, young pop star Justin Bieber is now going to appear in a movie about himself. In glorious 3-D.

Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures is making a 3-D biopic about Justin Bieber which will incorporate footage from his recent tour as well as him playing himself in the film. And the film already has a release date – Feb. 11, 2011. Just in time to get teenage girls running out of their house for Valentine’s Day.
Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) is looking to direct. We know about the news from his tweet the other day which concisely portrays his excitement:
“Next Valentine’s we r coming with a major 3D Movie telling the story with an Oscar winning director and also filmin the tour at MSG in NYC!!”
Do we really need a biopic about a 16 year old boy right now? And let’s say we do need it. Does it really have to be in 3-D? How will that bring anything to the table at all? Let’s hope it fizzles out just like last year’s ‘Jonas Brothers’ concert film did.
Justin Beiber is already set for memoir publishing “Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story,” in October. Along with a comic book. Expect a videogame and some action figures soon.
