Another ‘Pirates’ movie is close to filming right now, with a cut-back budget and only core actors remaining. That means Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley among others won’t be back. But someone other than Deep himself is returning.
Variety reports that Geoffrey Rush, who plays the iconic Captain Hector Barbossa in the series, is set to return for the fourth installment as well. Barbossa was one the best things about the first film, which was also the best film of the series. He would prove to be a great villain this time around as well.
Rob Marshall (Chicago) is directing a script by Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio. Penelop Cruz, Stephen Grahams, Ian McShane and newcomer Astrid Bergès-Frisbey will be starring in the film as well.
Movie is set to release in summer 2011 in 3-D.
