Other than giving fans something to by-heart before the game is out, the images also confirms four previously “rumored” characters: Bison, Akuma, Jin, and Ogre.

Unfortunately, the calming effect of an early demo can only be enjoyed by Xbox 360 users. PS3 users will only be able to download the demo on September 4, two months after Xbox players get their hands-on on July 3.

Dragon’s Dogma will release on May 25 in Europe/PAL and on May 22 in the US. The game was original scheduled for a mid-March release.

Except for the announcement, no particular info was shared, including release date or even targeted platforms. But hey, look up, we got a logo!

Elsewhere, the company revealed that HD remakes of the first three installments are being prepped for an iOS release. An Android version is also said to be in development.

Explaining the reason behind the price drop, Capcom issued a statement on its own Capcom-Unity blog, saying that “after weeks of effort” they took a decision that should please buyers and potential consumers alike – reducing $10 from the survival horror title, which means now it should cost $39.99 instead of $49.99.

Capcom hopes this decision “will encourage even more people to check out this strong entry in the Resident Evil canon.”

Resident Evil Revelations is due January 27 in Europe, February 7 in the US, exclusively for the 3DS.

I am not sure how to respond to this, because, well, it’s weird. Capcom’s Mega Man is all grown up and fat, and looks more evil than he should. Pac-Man’s inclusion in itself is absurd, and to compensate for his apparent lack of, well, body parts, Capcom has added a giant robot of which Pac-Man is the ‘brains’ of.

Thankfully, if you find this ridiculous, you can get the game on the Xbox 360. They are exclusive to Playstation 3 and PS Vita. Here’s a trailer:

According to the overview, Resident Evil 6 is all set to host upto 6 player online co-op. It is unclear how and in what form it will be, or if it will tie-up to the main story line. Maybe an extended Mercenaries mode, perhaps?

Offline co-op is restricted to two 2 players.

Resident Evil 6 was announced last week. Capcom said it will be the most “dramatic” and “immersive” installment in franchise. The game is slated to release on November 20 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC version is planned for some time later after that.

As rumored, Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield does make a return, with the game once again featuring co-op multiplayer along with the story campaign.

Here’s a bit about the story:
“It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.”

“From the outset the team’s intention was to create an experience that delivers a gripping storyline, tense single-player and co-op action all set against a constant theme of horror. We are calling this fusion dramatic horror and are confident it will resonate with both existing fans of the series as well as newcomers,” says exec producer, Hiroyuki Kobayashi.

The website shows biohazard logos and ‘No hope Left’ messages scribbled on walls, cars, trains, etc. The message is then followed by a date: 19/01/2012 – which is today, if you happen to notice.

While Capcom has stayed mum about this and a WHOIS search has resulted in a loose tie-up with a webhosting company, TheSixthAxis (TSA) has managed to wrench out a confirmation from the advertising company behind the depressing messages.

TSA managed to contact Primesight, who prominently splashed their name on the scribbled messages (which are actually print-outs, and not graffiti). After a long chat and and a couple of emails later, the company spilled the beans.

“Panel number is 2375 03 Parry Street. The company advertising on it is CAPCOM.”

Boom. Capcom, announce it already.
