Slice some gentlemen from Feudal Japan this summer.

Publisher XSEED Games has outed a trailer accompanied with a bunch of screenshots for the western release of Feudal Japan-based action-adventure, Way of the Samurai 4. The trailer runs about two-minutes and unsurprisingly has a traditional Japanese vibe written all over it; from the Enka singing in the background to the masses of samurai warriors (obviously).

The game is out this summer exclusively for PlayStation Network.

Downloadable spin-off racer is really popular.

Evolution Studio’s spin-off racer MotorStorm RC isn’t doing bad at all. In fact the game is becoming amazingly popular among PlayStation 3 and Vita players, with sales almost becoming an internet-like viral thingy… well sort of.

Sony didn’t actually divulge sales figures. However, according to company, the PSN title is registering an average of 19 downloads every minute; therefore proving being a massive success for the cross-platform enabled racer.

Elsewhere, the publisher notes that a new MotorStorm RC event is initiated every second, and an average of eight trophies is seized by players every single minute – of course through MotorStorm RC.

If can’t get enough of the racer and still crave for more content you can always check the recently released Carnival Expansion Pack, which adds 24 new events across six circuits.

It will happen, most likely.

Fans have been questioning the mere existing idea of Shenmue 3 for far too long. Eventually some decided to get back to reality and bury down what little hopes they had for its occurrence, with Sega deciding to hold the classic series down for years. Now, although Shenmue 3 might still sound more of a farfetched idea to materialize, seems that the original Dreamcast classic could be heading the digital route as a remake – that’s according to Sega’s brand manager, Ben Harborne.

In a recent interview with GameReactor, Harborne was quizzed if they’d like to hear a word from fans regarding what titles they wish to be remade, of which he replied, saying: “Yes, definitely, but I can tell you what it’s going to be, it’s going to be Shenmue. And Skies Of Arcadia too.”

He didn’t want to sound official, so he backtracked a little afterwards, adding: “They’re a couple of our most requested games. I can’t say ‘yes’ or ‘no’, but we may be working on them.”

HD remakes of Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia sound like a pretty sweet deal from Sega, which should compensate for them never breaking silence regarding both cherished franchises for the past years. All we want from you Sega now is making a new console and kicking the living crap out of competition. Yeah… I might have gone a little too far here.

Warner Bros. has confirmed a new date for its postponed multiplayer-focused shooter, Gotham City Impostors. In the US, it launches on February 7; it follows a day later in Europe and for PAL territories.

Gotham City Impostors was originally pegged for an early January outing; but need for more polish and tweaking pushed the game back to an unspecified date.

The Monolith-developed shooter just launched recently in public beta form to Xbox 360 and PS3 users. Full game will be available for download on PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

Both classic shoot ‘em up-zombies affairs from SEGA, The House of the Dead 3 and 4, will be available for purchase starting early this year on PlayStation Network.

According to SEGA, House of the Dead 3 will first release on February 7 – the sequel follows later in spring. Both games will take advantage of PS3’s HD capabilities, will feature trophies, as well as full PlayStation Move support.

“The House of the Dead has always been one of SEGA’s most popular series, and over the years we have worked hard to bring that full arcade experience to console owners,” said Haruki Satomi, senior vice president of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “The abilities of the PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation Move, have let us get closer than ever before. The only thing these titles are missing is a need for quarters.”

House of the Dead 3 struck arcades in 2002, and was later released on Xbox and Wii. Meanwhile, House of the Dead 4, launched on arcades in 2005, never seen the light of day on consoles – until today’s news.

Press release:
SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc. today announced that fan favourite Sonic CD will be released on multiple platforms from tomorrow. Relive the story of the 1993 original, which sees Dr. Eggman again, attempting to take control of the future by stealing the Time Stones from Little Planet. Sonic must speed through levels and travel through time whilst fending off Eggman’s robots to recover the Time Stones and save the smitten young hedgehog, Amy Rose.

One of GamesRadar’s top 100 games of all time, the revamped version of this popular title will include the original Japanese and US soundtracks as requested by the fans, and, for the first time, the ability to play the game as Sonic’s best friend Tails, who can be unlocked by clearing the game for the first time. Sonic CD also features the first appearance of Metal Sonic, one of Sonic’s most enduring nemesis.

“Sonic’s 20th Anniversary has been a banner year for him – as well as for everyone at SEGA,” said Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “Gamers around the world are rediscovering their love of Sonic through his adventures, new and old. Whether you’re a long-time hedgehog aficionado looking to enjoy a favourite moment from Sonic’s past, or a brand-new player who wants to join in on the fun, there’s no better place to start than with one of Sonic’s most celebrated games, Sonic CD.”

Sonic CD will be available tomorrow for the following platforms: Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft (400 MSP), the PlayStation Network for $5.00 / £3.59/ €4.49 / AUD$6.25 and iPhone, iPod touch, iPad for $4.99/ AUD$5.49/Euro $3.99/UK £2.99. Sonic CD will also be released on Android and Windows Phone in the New Year.
