Warner Bros. has confirmed a new date for its postponed multiplayer-focused shooter, Gotham City Impostors. In the US, it launches on February 7; it follows a day later in Europe and for PAL territories.

Gotham City Impostors was originally pegged for an early January outing; but need for more polish and tweaking pushed the game back to an unspecified date.

The Monolith-developed shooter just launched recently in public beta form to Xbox 360 and PS3 users. Full game will be available for download on PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

Arcade shooter out this year featuring trophies and PS Move support.

Both classic shoot ‘em up-zombies affairs from SEGA, The House of the Dead 3 and 4, will be available for purchase starting early this year on PlayStation Network.

According to SEGA, House of the Dead 3 will first release on February 7 – the sequel follows later in spring. Both games will take advantage of PS3’s HD capabilities, will feature trophies, as well as full PlayStation Move support.

“The House of the Dead has always been one of SEGA’s most popular series, and over the years we have worked hard to bring that full arcade experience to console owners,” said Haruki Satomi, senior vice president of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “The abilities of the PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation Move, have let us get closer than ever before. The only thing these titles are missing is a need for quarters.”

House of the Dead 3 struck arcades in 2002, and was later released on Xbox and Wii. Meanwhile, House of the Dead 4, launched on arcades in 2005, never seen the light of day on consoles – until today’s news.

Will feature original Japanese and US soundtracks.

Press release:
SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc. today announced that fan favourite Sonic CD will be released on multiple platforms from tomorrow. Relive the story of the 1993 original, which sees Dr. Eggman again, attempting to take control of the future by stealing the Time Stones from Little Planet. Sonic must speed through levels and travel through time whilst fending off Eggman’s robots to recover the Time Stones and save the smitten young hedgehog, Amy Rose.

One of GamesRadar’s top 100 games of all time, the revamped version of this popular title will include the original Japanese and US soundtracks as requested by the fans, and, for the first time, the ability to play the game as Sonic’s best friend Tails, who can be unlocked by clearing the game for the first time. Sonic CD also features the first appearance of Metal Sonic, one of Sonic’s most enduring nemesis.

“Sonic’s 20th Anniversary has been a banner year for him – as well as for everyone at SEGA,” said Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “Gamers around the world are rediscovering their love of Sonic through his adventures, new and old. Whether you’re a long-time hedgehog aficionado looking to enjoy a favourite moment from Sonic’s past, or a brand-new player who wants to join in on the fun, there’s no better place to start than with one of Sonic’s most celebrated games, Sonic CD.”

Sonic CD will be available tomorrow for the following platforms: Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft (400 MSP), the PlayStation Network for $5.00 / £3.59/ €4.49 / AUD$6.25 and iPhone, iPod touch, iPad for $4.99/ AUD$5.49/Euro $3.99/UK £2.99. Sonic CD will also be released on Android and Windows Phone in the New Year.

Single purchase allows playing on both platforms.

Evolution Studios has lifted the wraps on a new installment in the off-road buggy racing series, Motorstorm – this time around with the franchise branching to Sony’s upcoming handheld the PlayStation Vita, under the name Motorstorm RC.

In the new entry, as the name implies, looks Motorstorm studio is not following previous iteration’s suite with the inclusion of series’ chaotic and explosive off-road racing trademark; but instead, apparently they’ve shrunk it a tad bit down, and thus no large vehicles are existent, but RC ones.

Motorstorm RC will be available for purchase from the PlayStation Network as a downloadable cross-platform title between PS3 and PS Vita. Sony says that one purchase of the game grants access to both versions of Motorstorm RC – meaning you can either play it on the go wherever you are, or just relax and have your arcade racing deeds on the big screen.

Planned for a simultaneous release across both platforms in spring 2012, check out the launch trailer below.
