Local distributors Pluto Games will be hosting a ‘Pluto Play Day’ on Thursday, February 23rd, 2012 at the Living Rooms Cafe, Dubai Festival City.

The event will feature games and hardware from Capcom, Konami, Saitek, Triton, Cyborg, MadCatz, etc.

Tournament:
There will be a tournament for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Street Fighter x Tekken. The winner will stand to bag goodies from Mad Catz, including Arcade sticks.

Cosplay @ GamesFest

GamesFest is back and so is the touted cosplay tournament! Hosted by Middle East Gamers, the gaming event will once again hold a cosplay competition where players can dress up as characters from their favorite video games, movies, books or anime.

The event will be held at the Living Rooms Cafe on February 24, 2012. Specific timings and competition prizes will be revealed soon.

MEGamers presents GamesFest

Organized by Middle East Gamers, GamesFest aims to bring together gamers from around the UAE to participate in various tournaments and check out the latest offering from the video games industry.

Gamers will have the opportunity to try out new games that have not yet been released, participate in tournaments on both consoles and PC, as well as try out the latest and greatest in gaming hardware.

Here’s a little taster of what the event has in store for you:

The Miz ‘Personal Appearance’ at Marina, Abu Dhabi

WWE wrestler The Miz will make a personal appearance at Vox Cinema, Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. The first 400 fans to register themselves at the event will be able to meet and receive a personal autograph from the WWE superstar.

The event will be held on February 9th from 3:30pm onwards.

Millennium Avenue DotA Tournament

Millennium Avenue, a net cafe based in Deira, Dubai, will be hosting DotA AllStars 5v5 tournament this weekend on Friday 10th.

Prizes:
1st Place – AED 3,000

Rules:
Server – EU Nordic and East
Tournament Mode – Bans and Picks
Runes and Masteries Allowed

Prize:
1st Prize – 1250 Dirhams
2nd Prize – 750 Dirhams
3rd Prize – 5 hours regulars game time per player
