It’s official: Modern Warfare 2 will not be banned in the UAE

Approved by the ministry and on its way to retail stores on 10th November.

Our sources tell us that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been greenlit by the UAE ministry and copies of the game are being delivered to retailers across the UAE and the region to be sold at official stores. This obviously will come as a relief to gamers everywhere who were worried that the controversial airport scene might have resulted in a ban on the game.

Consider yourself lucky if you haven’t purchased the game already at absurd prices through the gray market as the official PEGI version will be available at fair console prices some time tomorrow.

    what happened at the airport?

A mass murder scene where you kill a load of unarmed civlians.

The airport scene is quite disturbing. It does give you the option to skip it tho without losing any points or achievements or anything. It should be sold every where in my opinion. The only thing I could see being a problem is if you had an experience with a terrorist attack. This scene would probablly bring back some bad memories.
