Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Media Blowout

Exclusive gameplay footage of the single player, multiplayer and Spec-Ops campaigns from Infinity Ward’s awaited shooter.

If you had been following us, like you should…religiously, then you must be aware that MEGamers had gotten their grubby hands on a grey market US edition copy of this year’s most awaited and anticipated title – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. We promised you exclusive videos and now it’s time to deliver on them.

After a long gaming session with Infinity Ward’s shooter, and cleaning of our drool off the floor, we managed to capture gameplay footage of the single player, multiplayer and Spec-Ops campaigns and have neatly wrapped them on a playlist below for your viewing pleasure. These are off-camera captures of the game, just so to preserve our readers for the true HD experience and not for any other reasons that you may have thought. Ahem…anyway, let’s begin, shall we?

Single Player:
We did not complete the entire game, not yet. But we did play a rather large portion of it. Below are the videos from the levels we had our hands on. One of them is the controversial terrorist level that comes rather early on in the game. To clarify, yes, the level can be skipped by pausing the game and choosing the ‘skip’ option. Alternatively, players can choose to not participate in the firing and can just follow the terrorists while they execute their inexcusable crime. Regardless, we did choose to participate, killing off civilians, some multiple times, just  to see how extreme the level can get. It does gets a little intense and will easily tick off some sensitive regions (like the UAE for example…). But anyway, the intensity is quite subjective so we will just leave it up for you to decide.

Multiplayer and Spec-Ops:
We had a couple of rounds of TDM and were quite surprised to find some UAE players on the team list – some from clans and most already leveled up to higher ranks. What you see of us in the video getting owned left, right and quite literally from the center, can  directly and unquestionably be attributed to the 1-second lag. Oh, it doesn’t matter if the UAE players, experiencing the same lag as us, managed to kick us under the belt repeatedly, it’s the lag man. We also tried to try the 3rd person mode but unfortunately we could not find a game with it turned on so we decided to settle for a tour of (the) Karachi (map). We got some Spec-Ops in the mix as well, playing two levels. These are short levels either from the campaign or specifically created for the mode and in most likely, should be played in co-op.

Its just so… Identical. I’ve bought the last 3 COD’s, and from what i continuously see its the same thing over with some new maps and weapons. Unfortunately, with a 5 hour campaign (And thats pushing it) its just not worth it. Unless I become bored to death I’ll doubt I’ll pick it up… I would rather stick to Uncharted… or really any game with some fresh, new action.

      Your loss dude.

LOL…. Uncharted isn’t anywhere close to being “fresh”. All they did was manage to make it look pretty for the time being. Give it 8 months.

  4. Danny says:

Uncharted 2 did many thing “fresh” for the series, and i find it a better game than call of duty will be, especially the co op

It’s infuriating to watch this guy play MP. Please learn to stop aiming at the floor.
