DWGE: Dubai Police showcases Traffic Accident and CSI game
Simulation game used to train police officers.
Based on the Torque game engine, Dubai Police’s simulation games seem very impressive. “The games are built in-house by a team of four video game designers and developers and are used to train new recruits on the basics of traffic accident analysis and crime scene investigation tactics,” said Faraz Mohammad Mobin, a 3D modeling artist who works at the Virtual Training Section of Dubai Police.
Here’s a video of the game in action:
The realism of the game is quite impressive. Talks are on the way with Crytek to license the new Cry Engine 3. Once that happens, the simulation should look and feel even more impressive. The game is not available to the public and is used to for training purposes only.
