There is no Twisted Metal DLC in the works
Those who are holding their breathe for one, aren’t making a healthy choice, says developer.
Other than the odd double XP weekends, Twisted Metal is almost done for – at least in terms of content, says developer David Jaffe.
In an interview with IGN, Jaffe revealed that as far as he knows, Eat Sleep Play, the development team behind the gruesome racer, has no plans to release new downloadable content for the game.
“No one has asked me [about working on DLC],” he said. “I don’t know what Eat Sleep Play is working on other than I’m pretty sure they’re not working on DLC for Twisted Metal. My understanding is that there is no plan for DLC for Twisted Metal, and I don’t see that changing in the foreseeable future.”
He joked that players who are holding their breathe for a DLC aren’t making a “wise health choice.”
So, what about Twisted Metal, then? Should players just bin it and move on? Jaffe said a Kickstarter could be a choice but that’s unlikely to happen.
“I’m sure [co-director] Scott [Campbell] out in Utah would be more than open to hearing a proposal if Sony would, but I don’t see it happening,” he said.
Jaffe has since split up with Eat Sleep Play to work on other of his projects. He has yet to announce what they are though.
