Jason Momoa: “I would consider playing Kratos”

First Impressions

My reaction is

We at MEGamers debate a lot about games and movies. It’s an unsaid part of the job and helps while away time from actually doing our “main” job without us looking like we are. It’s an impressive cover.

Anyway, one of the hot debate topics that always is: Which real life actor could convincingly portray this or this video game character. While there is always a huge (and kindly abusive) debate about our own personal selections, we all grudgingly agree to at least one: Jason Momoa, aka Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, would make a fine Kratos from God of War.

But that’s our thinking. What does Momoa himself think about it? At the on-going Middle East Film & Comic-Con, where Momoa is one of the chief guest (and the one with the loudest cheers…mainly from females), we got to ask him just that. In his Q&A session with fans, our ME-Movies Editor Faisal Hashmi snuck the question in to find his response.

Momoa said he knows who Kratos is, “the guy with the white and red paint, yes”, and that he would consider portraying the character if Sony approached him for the project. So, there we have it, then, Sony. Can we make this happen now?

no eh! just no! and not because vin gas is bald and muscular means he can play Kratos, and no not Jason Statham or Black Dynamite either, before anyone even goes there. Djimon Honsuo would have been great however his accent could throw people off, however i think Peter Mensah would make a great Kratos, he’s well trained, well built and can act his ass off, however facially he looks nothing like kratos but since when has that stopped hollywood …oooo he’d make a great black panther too =D ..Avengers 2 anyone muahahaha. So lets paint his ass white and see what happens =D

Oh god NO just NO….He was a horrible Conan in a Horrible Conan movie, either the writing was just that bad or he can’t act. Probably a mixture of both.

To me the first person who embodies Kratos today would be The Rock (dwayne johnson) he literally looks just like Kratos in that fast and the furious movie. And he’s not bad of an actor.
