Borderlands 2’s Mechromancer class detailed, first concept art surfaces
Planned as post-launch DLC.
Borderlands can be quite the type of game that grants extensive customizations and thus spawns near-infinite replayability – well at least that’s what we’ve learned from the first title. Now, during the recently held PAX event, Gearbox is suggesting that the much-awaited Borderlands sequel, will in fact improve even further the customization aspect of the franchise.
They also revealed something called Mechromancer – a female character that most notably is a half machine, half human, and apparently controls a robot that goes by the name D374-TP… or better just call it Deathtrap. Mechromancer won’t be included in the retail disc, with Gearbox saying it’s in fact an add-on character planned as post-launch DLC. Though you’ll be paying for this thing if you really want it, or just pre-order the game and get it free once it’s done.
Also, Gearbox stated that there will be a new character customization mechanic, which will accordingly allow players to experience with the option more often when their character progress and unlock more items such as gear and clothing.
Well that’s it. Borderlands 2 launches on September 18. Are you looking forward to the game?
