Desmond is a “big part” of Assassin’s Creed 3′s story
Ubisoft promises to focus more on the ‘present’ story of the game.
Strangely, even though Desmond is, in a truer sense of the word, the main protagonist of the Assassin’s Creed story, his share of the on-screen time have largely been consisted of running from places to places and jacking up into the Animus. But much do we know about the man? How does he play into the story? How is unlocking the past through the Animus helping out the present? These are some of the questions we are hoping to find answer in Assassin’s Creed 3, where Ubisoft has promised to focus on Desmond’s part of the story “more so than in any past game”.
“All I can say about Desmond’s story is you’re going to experience more Desmond than you’ve ever had before,” he said. “We’re spending more time on the present than we have in past games,” said lead writer Matt Turner to CVG.
“It’s a big part of our story and I don’t really want to give too many details away because I want people to experience what that is. But rest assured, you’re going to see a lot of Desmond.”
“More so than in any past game.”
Assassin’s Creed releases in October for PS3 and Xbox 360. PC version is planned for a later date.
