It is pretty certain at this point Assassin’s Creed III is destined to become a hugely-anticipated title this year, while previous installments from the franchise (the whole four of them) proved to be no different, but the third chapter seems to be a vastly refreshing entry, at least that’s what Ubisoft has been promising thus far. And apparently, it already succeeded in attracting big numbers pre-order wise, with the publisher revealing that the game is currently tracking well ahead of any other released Assassin’s Creed title.

In fact, according to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed III has racked up 10 times the US pre-order figure Revelations has managed to pull in a matter of three weeks in the same timeframe.

“On October 30th players will experience the biggest game launch in Ubisoft’s history with the highly anticipated release of Assassins Creed III,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Ubisoft. “With a development cycle of three years, Assassins Creed III is the true next-generation experience of the Assassins Creed brand. The production value of the game, combined with the biggest marketing commitment we’ve ever made, will make Assassins Creed III the highest-selling Assassin’s Creed game ever. Additionally, the new setting and hero makes this the perfect time to jump into the series for anyone that has not previously played an Assassin’s Creed game.”

Assassin’s Creed III is being developed for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Ubisoft recently revealed the collector’s editions of the game; they are also available to pre-order.
