Battlefield 3 players on PS3 prepare yourselves for a massive patch today. DICE confirmed over the weekend that players on the Sony console should expect to update their game before anyone else, with the developer stating that details for Xbox 360 and PC will “come soon”.

One of the patch’s headline features is granting PS3 users to rent their own Battlefield 3 dedicated server. Other changes have been made enacts the prone position, with soldiers given additional stamina to swiftly stand up. Suppressed guns have been boosted to allow for more precise hitting while moving.

And finally, you can kiss goodbye the annoying input lag which plagued the PS3 version of the game. Accordingly, DICE have added an option to disable antialiasing, suggesting that it is the grand solution to reduce the infamous lagging.

These, and hundreds more of changes can be viewed on the official Battlefield Blog.
