Codemasters announces F1 2012
New season will deliver “the most accessible and immersive Formula One game for fans of all abilities”.
Another Formula One game is indeed coming out this year, Codemasters has confirmed.
F1 2012 is being developed for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at Codemasters Birmingham and currently is on track for release in September. The publisher touts the new season entry as the “most accessible and immersive Formula One game for fans of all abilities”.
According to Codemasters, players will “be introduced to the world of Formula One through a range of tutorials explaining how to handle racing’s most exciting and responsive cars, and challenged to earn a drive from a team for the 2012 FIA Formula One World Championship.”
The sim racer will introduce a new mode dubbed Young Driver Test in addition to a plethora of “new features, wide-ranging technical and gameplay advancements and extensive competitive and co-operative multiplayer components”. All teams, drivers and circuits will be represented from the official 2012 season.
