George Hotz arrested but not for hacking
Famed iOS hacker caught with the “colorful plant”.
You thought Mass Effect 3 was anti-climatic? How about this. George Hotz, the famous iOS hacker, was arrested yesterday. If you thought his hacking escapades finally caught up to him, well, wrong. He was busted for possessing marijuana.

He was caught with the “colorful plant” on his way to SXSW conference in Austin. The Department of Homeland Security officers were searching each car with dogs when they found Hotz’s 1/4 oz. of weed stash.
Apparently, Hotz wasn’t trying to hide it. He had a medical marijuana license in California, where he lives, but Texas, where he was caught, does not have a such a license nor does it recognize it as something legal.
Hotz was booked for a felony and posted $1,500 bail.
