Mass Effect 3 may have sold 3.5 million copies post-launch, but it hasn’t done its developer, BioWare, any good. The studio has been under-attack for monetizing a piece of the game as a $10 downloadable content, where, as it is becoming more clearer, they could have shipped it with the game for free.

A YouTube video demonstrates how one can easily edit one of the game’s installation files and unlock the Prothean character that comes with the ‘From Ashes’ DLC, suggesting that not only was the content ready to be shipped with the game, but BioWare may have lied about developing the content after the final game was sent for certification.
