Is this the Valve Steam Box?
A Valve developer had tweeted about it way back in November.
Kotaku is currently carrying a picture of the rumored Valve Steam Box, apparently supplied by a tipster who dug up old tweets of a Valve employee called Greg Coomer who had been subtly hinting at the system since last year.
None of this is verified, and looks highly improbable from what it is. The picture shows a custom (?) made square tin computer case with wireless dongles sticking out of it. From Coomer’s tweets, it has a Core i7, 8GB of RAM, Zotac Z-68 motherboard and an unnamed NVIDIA graphics card. The specifications meets the ones reported by The Verge who broke the news of the console-PC yesterday.
According to the tipster, Coomer is the lead designer of the Steam Box, and has at least 5-10 people working with him on the system.
Again, none of this verified. The system looks like a very simple hand-built PC. But then again, this just what Steam Box aims to be.
