SimCity 5 apparently exists, screens and details rise
Maxis gearing up to announce the game at GDC, apparently.
If concept art scans and an article in German game magazine Gamestar are anything to by, then looks like SimCity 5, the long-awaited city building PC strategy title, might in fact exist.
As spotted by NeoGAF, the next installment will supposedly be set some 20 years after previous entries. The important bits from the feature suggests that SimCity 5 is due for release sometime next year, shipping with a new graphics engine, multiplayer modes, updatable buildings and so much more – there’s even global leaderboards which outlines the finest user-built metropolis.
Still think all these alleged leak outs are not strong enough to justify SimCity 5’s existence? Then you should read that recent Facebook message, which pretty much rings the game is about to be announced next week in San Francisco: “How can we change the world together? Find out when EA hosts the Game Changers event at GDC. What would you do if you had the power to change the world?”
Whatever the case, we’re mere days away to find out for sure if SimCity 5 is to be revealed.
