The PC version of Alan Wake made all of its development and marketing expenses back within 48 hours after launch, Remedy said on its official forums.

The game launched last Thursday, and features the two available DLC packs, The Signal and The Writer, along with improved visual fidelity and 3D capability.

“We are very happy with the sales and hitting #1 on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing,” said Remedy’s Aki Järvilehto

“We recouped our development and marketing expenses during the first 48 hours. And yes, we’re certainly very excited about PC.”

Alan Wake is available on Steam for $29.99. The thriller will be available in retail form from March 2 in Europe.
