French website looses invite to press event, advertisement.
French gaming website Gameblog.fr spotted a leak by Amazon today, where the online retailer pulled the trigger early on the listing of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, an unannounced title by Activision, but rumored and assumed to most likely be it.
After the story went live, Activision France contacted Gameblog to get them to bring the story down. The website refused, after which it was quickly blacklisted by the company, disinviting them from a Transformers: Fall of Cyberton press event, and cancelling planned advertisement with the site.
Gameblog claims that the publisher approached the many websites that carried the story with similar threats.
Activision has yet to officially comment.
