Brutal Legend developer Double Fine announced a new project yesterday. The game is described as a “a brand-new, downloadable ‘Point-and-Click’ graphic adventure game for the modern age.” The project will be funded via private donations and aims to raise at least $400,000 to cover development fees.

Players can “pledge” to back this project with a minimum of $1. Those that can pour in more earn perks, some of them include a dinner with studio head Tim Schafer, an opportunity to become an actual character in the game, a tour of the Double Fine office, beta access, and the best of all, receive an undoctored picture of Rob Gilbert smiling!

Rob Gilbert is, of course, the creator behind Monkey Island series, and who will be lending his creative genius to the upcoming project.

The game is set to release on the PC. The project has collected $211, 778 already. Donations end on March 13.
