The Devil May Cry series has been a successful franchise since its original release in 2001. With development of Devil May Cry 4 already in the works, it seems that this hero is not going anywhere for a while.
In Devil May Cry 3, you resume the role of Dante, the son of the demon warrior Sparda. In this installment of the game, you come face to face with your brother Vergil, who is trying to unlock an ancient power that Sparda defeated and banished eons ago. So your one goal in the game is to stop Vergil at all costs (talk about sibling rivalry).
Developers Capcom have pulled off a visually stunning game coupled with excellent gameplay. Dante moves flawlessly and can hack through a room full of enemies in under a minute. Weapons can be upgraded or swapped at special ‘shrines’ during the game, and you can switch between weapons during combat, to make for some interesting combos.
This game features a strong storyline, coupled with great visual effects, an engaging soundtrack, cheesy one-liners, and finger numbing gameplay.
