A console patch for Battlefield 3 is out now available for download. DICE says the update should tackle down the infamous VOIP issues some players have experienced in the PS3 version of the game.

The official Battlefield Blog has a walkthrough explaining how to setup your PS3 headset.

The 20MB update brings a host of tweaks to both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Battlefield 3, including the long awaited mortars nerf, which accordingly, it won’t deploy in spawn areas anymore.

DICE has yet to nail down a date for the next Battlefield 3 update on PC. Stay tuned.
