My reaction is

Back in 1994, when Tony Alleyne parted with his wife, he took it upon himself to build a crib that will be the dream of many a sci-fi aficionados. Over the months after that, he spent nearly $150,000 to build a realistic replica of a Star Trek fleet ship, a masterpiece in its own right, with hand-crafted furnishing and even voice-activated lights.

Unfortunately for him, his wife just filed for divorce. And the apartment belongs to her. And she is not a fan of Star Trek. And she wants it down. All of it.

Ouch.

“To say I’m gutted is an understatement. It is my life’s work – and it looks like it’s going into a skip,” Alleyne said. “I admit there were tears.”

Anyway, we will leave the soap opera for them. Let’s just all huddle around and ogle at the insanity of the 500-square-foot apartment.

Idiot! He should have sold the flat off to a friend or relative for $1 or something before the divorce!

Moral of the story, hide your money, hide your stuff or just don’t get married!
