Polish developer CD Projekt RED slapped a solid release date for its Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Warner Bros. will be publishing the console release, which hits store shelves on April 17.

It’s dubbed the ‘Enhanced Edition’, and will offer new quests, spanning apparently three additional hours of play-through. Included as well are the new quests and features added to the PC version via post-release updates.

New locations are also promised, including a forest in the Loc Muine mountains, which will add a sequence of new quests. Thankfully, CD Projekt RED is generous enough to offer the Enhanced update to PC players, too – it’s also planned to release on the same date, and owners of the standard version will get it free.

As of now, there’s no mention whether the RPG will eventually make it to the PlayStation 3, although the developer already expressed interest in porting it to the Sony console; we’ll keep you updated on this one. In the meantime, check below for the screenshots as well as the opening cinematic from the Enhanced Edition.
