TGS ’09: Risen – ‘Making of’ Video
New video features an interview with developer Piranha Bytes.
In this 10min video clip published by Deep Sliver, project director Björn Pankratz and game designer Mike Hoge from Piranha Bytes talks about the making of their upcoming RPG Risen. The folks explain some details about the background story, the free exploration concept of the game world, the “cultural localization” of the English version and just why they prefer their hero nameless. We haven’t watched the video yet, but we hope the reason to not name the hero isn’t as tacky like ‘so the players can relate to them…by being them…and giving their name’. That would be God awful. Seriously. Just ragefully awful.
