Zynga’s Dream Heights a copy of Tiny Tower?
Developer Nimblebit hopes to inspire them even more.
Nimblebit, the developer of Tiny Tower, has cheekily called out Facebook giant Zynga for unabashedly copying their popular iOS game.
Zynga’s game in question is Dream Heights, which when put side by side against NimbleBit’s title, looks like an exact copy of the game, right from the interface, gameplay mechanics and to some extent, the names of in-game objects.
“Dear Zynga, (all 2,789 of you!)” the message begins. “We noticed you are about to launch a new iPhone game called Dream Heights! Congratulations!
“We wanted to thank all you guys for being such big fans of our iPhone game of the year Tiny Tower! Good luck with your game! We are looking forward to inspiring you with our future games!
“Sincerely, (all 3 of us) – Nimblebit.”
This is what they had Twitted:
It’s not like Tiny Towers was an obscure game. It was Apple’s goddamn Game of the Year.
