Shank 2 releasing in February
2D side-scrolling sequel beats its way to PC, PSN and XBLA early next month.
EA and Klei Entertainment have sent over a press release announcing that Shank 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2010 side-scrolling beat ‘em up hit, will release on February 7 in North America and February 8 in Europe.
According to developer Klei Entertainment, controls have been tweaked in Shank 2, which means the sequel is bound to offer evolved combat experience. New weapons, better enemy AI and varied type of combos are all present too. The game’s trademark 2D art direction will be carried over to the new entry.
Shank 2 will also feature a Survival mode, giving players the opportunity to play cooperatively and take down hordes of enemies – both online and offline.
Shank 2 is headed to PC, PSN and XBLA, priced $9.99 or 800 MS Points.
